Generally, a company officer signs the application, and this person is the Authorizing Officer on the account. A company also selects a Program Manager to make decisions about its credit program. This person can be the Authorizing Officer, or another designated employee, such as an Accounts Payable representative. A company can have multiple Program Managers, but they need to be listed officially on the account to make decisions for the company. The Authorizing Officer also can dictate changes on the account.
